Professional substrate for reptile egg incubation

After years of testing with the most common substrates used for reptile egg incubation, this is undoubtedly the one I consider the absolute best. I personally use it with Correlophus ciliatus, leopard geckos, Mniarogekko chahoua and many others, always with excellent results.

Main features

  • High absorption capacity: retains moisture evenly, preventing dangerous stagnation.

  • Natural hydration indicator: when wet, the material darkens, while when it tends to dry, it becomes lighter, allowing you to see at a glance when it's time to add water.

  • Stability over time: it does not compact or mold easily, ensuring a constant and safe environment throughout the incubation period.

How to use it

  1. Preparation: rinse the substrate in a colander under running water to remove residual dust.

  2. Hydration: immerse it in lukewarm water for about 5 minutes.

  3. Draining: drain excess water well and spread it evenly in the incubation box.

  4. Egg placement: create a small indentation with a closed marker or a smooth object and gently place the egg, burying it only halfway.

Practical tips

  • With 500g of substrate, you can incubate an average of 50+ eggs from medium-sized geckos (such as ciliatus or leopard geckos).

  • Always keep the environment slightly humid, without excess: simply check the color of the substrate to know when to intervene.

  • You can reuse the same material for multiple cycles, provided it is thoroughly washed and sterilized after each use.

This professional substrate is designed for those who want to maximize incubation success rates and have simple, intuitive humidity control. A reliable and proven solution, perfect for both beginners and experienced breeders.
